May 2023 Updates

The Newton Literacy Collaborative has met regularly with Newton Public Schools' central office leadership to discuss literacy in our schools.

• 4 pilot tests are ongoing. Three are DESE-approved (CKLA, EL Education, Wit & Wisdom), and one is not (Fountas & Pinnell).

• NPS leadership will present a literacy curriculum update to the School Committee on June 12, 2023.
